After Becoming the first African-American to graduate from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston, Dr. Zeb F. Poindexter Jr. started his first practice in 1956 in the "Chocolate Bayou," which is now known as Sunnyside. In 1960, he built what was then known as the Sunnyside Clinic on Cullen Boulevard, which still stands as Poindexter Dental, Inc. He retired in 2000 after practicing for 42 years, leaving behind a legendary career for caring for Houstonians.

Dr. Poindexter III followed in his father's footsteps, graduating from the University of Texas Dental Branch in 1984. The ability of the Poindexters to create and maintain a patient-centered practice has led to several honors, including the 2008 Pinnacle Award from the Houston Citizens Chamber of Commerce and the 2009 Health Care Heroes Award from the Houston Business Journal.

Located at 7703 Cullen Boulevard in Houston, our office is people friendly and readily accessible. The building was designed from street level entry and has easy access for the physically challenged. Our five private treatment suites are designed to accommodate all of our patients' needs.
