TheBlueZero.com is a multipurpose website that caters to Houston’s 1.2 million African American and Latino community. The website is a centralized hub that not only organizes and promotes issues and events FROM minorities in Houston, it also markets issues and events that is beneficial and of interest TO African Americans and Latinos in Houston. In simple terms, TheBlueZero.com is Houston, from a minority perspective.

Mission Statement

The mission of TheBlueZero.com is to be the community’s first choice for all news, events, activities, and concerns in both the African American and Latino communities.

Value Statement

1. To use the internet to build a unified minority community
2. To promote quality and reputable minority owned businesses
3. To encourage post-secondary education in African American and Latino youths
4. To reduce the level of apathy in our community by providing events and activities that builds a closer community
5. To enrich quality of life and reduce the negative images and stereotypes of African Americans and Latinos.

Goals

The goals of TheBlueZero.com are to promote minority-owned businesses in Houston, to encourage post-secondary education among African American and Latino youths and to serve as a bridge between Houston’s African American and Latino community.

Goal 1:
To promote minority-owned business in Houston

Objective:
1. Provide a director of Houston’s Minority-Owned Businesses
2. Build the most comprehensive business profile for our merchants
3. Offer free advertising to boost merchant visibility.
4. Donate 1/6 of advertising revenue to TheBlueZero.com Scholarship Fund.

To increase post-secondary education among minorities

Who we are

TheBlueZero.com organizes all issues, events, and activities in the minority community. For the introverted, we offer daily news and a forum to discuss issues relevant to African American and Latino families. For the extroverted, it organizes places of interests such as Nightclubs, museums, and theatrical productions among others. Our Family Fun sections lists places and events the entire family will enjoy. Because our purpose is to encourage and promote collegiate education, we organize colleges, universities, and scholarships with a minority perspective. To promote and encourage strong minority businesses, our directory lists and organized minority-owned businesses exclusively, giving local merchants an opportunity to separate and advertise their services to their local communities. For the converted, we offer a comprehensive list of Houston’s many religious institutions. Our sectionalized Event Calendars makes it easy to see what’s going on in each area and The Hot List is our weekly e-mail blast of events and activities in Houston. In simple terms, TheBlueZero.com has something for everyone. If you absolutely must find something to do, someplace to go, our site is your one-stop location for everything.
