About I Have a Dream Houston :

"I Have a Dream"® - Houston (IHAD) is the only long-term mentoring and dropout prevention program of its kind in Houston that promotes higher education for inner-city youth.

Currently, we have hundreds of active students (Dreamers) in elementary, middle and high school. In partnership with inner-city schools, IHAD adopts Dreamers beginning in the third grade. We provide them scholarship assistance for college or vocational school if they fulfill their pledge to finish high school.

Learn more! Come to a Show & Tell…

If you want to learn the ways you can help it only takes an hour to meet some of our staff, volunteers and student Dreamers. We meet the 1st or 2nd Monday of each month at our Annex.  Find out what areas you might be available to assist us with.
